Integrity Bio is a contract development and manufacturing organization focused on the formulation and GMP filling of biologics. We have formulated over 150 biologics including vaccines, antibodies, proteins, and peptides for more than 75 firms. Integrity Bio specializes in hard-to-formulate products in liquid and lyophilized forms.

Our key players are the employees in both our formulation and manufacturing facilities. Our formulation and fill/finish team has over 100 experienced protein scientists, formulation chemists, manufacturing associates and project managers committed to the hard work of ensuring our clients’ products get to market.

Michael Reilly

Vice President and General Manager

Michael Reilly took over as Chief Executive Officer from Byeong Chang in early 2020. During his time at Integrity Bio, he has served as VP of Business Development and led the company’s Excelse Bio high-concentration formulation technology division. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Baxter BioScience and Amgen. Michael studied Molecular Biology at Berkeley and has an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is passionate about hiking and the outdoors. His favorite book is Water Music, by T.C. Boyle.

Geno Worke

Geno came to biotechnology through fitness — first as a contractor for Amgen’s Corporate Wellness Center. He transitioned to manufacturing and remained at Amgen for a decade before joining Integrity Bio, where his responsibilities include running all aspects of manufacturing operations. A Minnesota native, Geno has never lost his love of ice hockey and remains passionate about fitness training. His favorite books are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

Brendon is responsible for all marketing and sales at Integrity Bio. Previously, he worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Baxter and Medtronic, as well as several biotech and medical device start-ups. He tends to his 15 hives of bees in his spare time. His favorite book is Sarum by Edward Rutherfurd.


Faten Shawwa

Head of Quality — Director Quality Operations

Charged with developing, implementing and maintaining Quality Systems at Integrity Bio, Faten ensures compliance and regulations are adhered to, leading to successful clinical drug products. She previously worked at Amgen and QCL Labs, and studied neurobiology and biochemistry at UC Davis. She loves travel and learning new languages. Her favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

Beth Mendiaz

Director, Quality Assurance

Beth Mendiaz has over 30 years quality assurance experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including 21 years at Amgen where she supported clinical manufacturing as Product Quality Leader. At Integrity Bio, her role includes overseeing Quality Management Systems as well as supporting manufacturing operations. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She loves exploring farmers markets and her favorite book is The Giver by Lois Lowry.

Sue Schroder

Sue Schroder

Director, Quality Control

Sue Schroder has over a quarter century of experience in the medical device and biopharmaceutical industry. Her responsibilities at Integrity Bio include management of the QC team in analytical method transfer and qualification, finished product testing, stability studies and compliance of environmental monitoring. She holds a BS degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Midwestern State University, Texas. Sue is a US Air Force veteran, she enjoys cooking and baking, and her favorite book is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.


Seok Yim

Director of Manufacturing

Seok is responsible for ensuring safety compliance in the manufacturing process. He manages DP production at Integrity Bio’s fill finish facilities and validation for the manufacturing process, equipment, and facility. Prior to Integrity Bio, he worked for Samsung Fine Chemicals and Nesher technology. He has a PhD from University of California, Los Angeles, a MS from Seoul National University, and studied biochemistry at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. His favorite book is Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

Mariko Finnley

Mariko began with Integrity Bio in the Formulation Development group, and transitioned to Project Management. She oversees projects and interfaces with clients in both R&D and manufacturing capacities. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology from UCLA. Mariko lived in Iceland for several years of her childhood, and her favorite book is Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.

Tyler Jones

Tyler is responsible for overseeing numerous formulation development projects in the R&D department at Integrity Bio. Previously he worked at Nektar Therapeutics and Avanti Polar Lipids, and received his doctorate from the University of Alabama, Huntsville in Structural Biochemistry and Biophysics. Tyler plays seven musical instruments and can still dunk a basketball. His favorite book is The Kingkiller Chronicles series by Patrick Rothfuss.

Xiaoli Wang

Xiaoli is tasked with study and analytical method preparation for new projects, reviewing data and addressing technical questions, and reviewing formulation efficiency and accuracy, among other responsibilities. She has a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry specializing in chromatography and spectroscopy, and previously worked at AskGen Pharma. When not working, she enjoys painting, Zumba and sports, and is looking for a good book recommendation.

Throughout his career, Axel has worked with proteins in some fashion. He received his Doctorate in chemistry from the University of York, UK for his contributions to a European structural proteomics initiative. He later joined Caltech, focusing his research on membrane proteins. When not developing formulations for therapeutic proteins and peptide, Axel loves playing chess and co-founded the San Gabriel Valley Chess Club. His favorite book is Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
